~Feature of the Week~ IKnitQuiltSew

This week, I have the privilege of featuring a wonderful artist with many talents, IKnitQuiltSew. She is a long time member of the Handmade Artists Forum, a wonderful group of artists who commune online, which I have just recently joined.

IKnitQuiltSew is a very talented woman whose endearing baby items and toys would make any mommy or grandmother proud. Her story is just as sweet. She said, "My grandmother taught me to knit and sew before color TV was invented! Most of my knitting comes from her patterns which she claimed were her mothers - which would date them in the late 1800s! This is what gives my knitting its old-fashioned, classic style." And classic it is.

From handknit hats, baby booties and headbands to the sweetest little baby gift sets (the sage booties and hat is my favorite) her shop features the coziest fuzzies for the cold winter months. You could pick up a handmade one of a kind rag doll and then find a quilt to keep her warm, all at once!

Her quilting is also a sight to behold. Check out this sweet hot air balloon crib quilt. I adore it. Each item is one of a kind, so don't expect to see a shop full or multiples. It won't happen here. Enjoy!

Truly Larissa. To have so many talents..I'm not sure I'd ever sleep if I could knit, quilt and make all of those wonderful items. Just makes me appreciate Sandi's talents even more. I forgot to mention, she does have a coupon code on her Etsy site. Check it out!

Oh, nice story about learning to knit from her grandma. I learned embroidery from my grandma and knitting from my mom ;)

Thank you so much for all the nice comments! Cold here in Utah now too ( was -14 F a couple of nights ago!). I think it's time to knit me a hat!
